what we know so far
The Plan (Sort Of)
the important part is sorted. the rest we're figuring out as we go.
we'll be there from two. the field opens early for anyone who wants to help set up blankets and string the lights.
we say the words. it'll be short. we wrote them ourselves. there may be crying (from us, definitely from us).
we're bringing a big pot of something. there will be bread. someone will have a guitar. stay as long as the sky lets you.
no last orders. no venue hire ending. just go when you're ready. or sleep in the field. we're not your parents.
save the date · don't double-book yourself
where we'll be
The Field
It's a 20-minute drive from town, down a lane that feels like it shouldn't go anywhere, and then suddenly does. You'll know it when you see it.
The grass is long enough to lose your shoes in. The light in the afternoon comes from the west and turns everything golden for about an hour. We've been back three times to check.
It's far enough from the road that you forget roads exist. It smells like summer and something you can't name. We're getting married there.

the honest list
What to Bring
this is not a registry. these are just the things that will make the day better.
a blanket
essentialthe ground is soft but a blanket makes it yours. big enough to share.
layers
essentialit starts warm and ends with a fire. bring a jumper you don't mind getting smoky.
something to drink
we'll have wine and soft drinks but bring what you love. and a glass if you're fancy.
a camera (if you want)
not a phone. a proper one. or a disposable. we want your version of the day.
your dog
genuinely. bring the dog. there's space. they'll love it.
your whole self
essentialno dress code. no performance. just come as you are, ready to be in a field.
leave the fancy stuff at home. the field doesn't care.
let us know
Are you coming?
we just need to know so we order enough food. that's genuinely the only reason.
